Edwin Barnard of Lake Orion

Edwin (Casey) Barnard passed away suddenly from a heart attack on October 27, 2023.
Casey was born to William and the late Mary Barnard in 1962. He is survived by his wife, Kim, of 32 years, and his three children: Alex, Shane and Jacob; his brother Deuce (Linda) Barnard, his sister Kelly (Matt) Tomaszewski and many wonderful nieces and nephews.
Casey grew up in Madison Heights/Troy, MI and attended St. Dennis and Bishop Foley schools. He was full of life from the very beginning. In his youth, he enjoyed hockey and wrestling.
Casey worked as an electrician and salesman but his favorite job was as the owner of Casey’s Chicken, Inc. of Lake Orion for 13 years. He loved joking with his customers. His sense of humor and contagious laugh be will missed by everyone who knew him.
Casey had an adventurous nature. He backpacked in the mountains of Colorado, earned his black belt in tae kwon do and went on many scuba diving explorations. Nothing was off limits.
Neighbors always knew when Casey was working outside because you could hear him singing. He loved to sing, woodworking, gardening, and playing poker.
Though his favorite times were just being with his family.
A Celebration of Life will be held on January 7th , 2024 from 2 – 4 pm at the Orion Center located at 1335 Joslyn Road, Lake Orion, Michigan 48360.
