Oakland County Sheriff’s Department deputies tasered a suspect after a foot chase following a vehicle crash on Joslyn Road on Oct. 27.
The incident happened about 11 p.m., after the suspect was stopped in his vehicle by a deputy for a traffic violation at Joslyn and Brown.
As the deputy approached, the suspect drove away. The deputy pursued for a short distance until the suspect crashed his vehicle into a tree and telephone pole on Joslyn.
The suspect fled on foot and the deputy caught up and deployed his taser to stop the subject.
The suspect’s vehicle was on fire and the Auburn Hills Fire Department responded to the scene. The suspect had a few scratches and was treated at the North Oakland Medical Center.
The suspect was lodged at the Oakland County Jail for fleeing and eluding police, possession of crack cocaine and resisting and obstructing a police officer.
