Dragons fall to Bloomfield Hills Black Hawks in nail-biter, 56-55

ORION TWP. — Lake Orion High School’s varsity boys basketball team had a nail biter last Friday, falling to Bloomfield Hills 56-55 in the teams first league match up of the season,
Leading the way for the Dragons were seniors DJ Morrow with 24 points and Blake Liddell with another 11 points.
The Dragons drop to 6-3 overall and 0-1 in the OAA White.
The boys host Warren De Salle on Tuesday after Review press time.
Prior to this game, the Dragons have had several games since returning from holiday break.
Stoney Creek
The Dragons hosted Stoney Creek on Jan. 10 defeating the cougars 74-30
Morrow had a strong night in scoring with 19 points, Nate Havrilla scored 10. Liddell had eight points along with 12 rebounds.
Oxford
On Jan. 12, Lake Orion hosted rivals Oxford High School, defeating the Wildcats 53-32.
Morrow led the team in scoring with 11 points while Havrilla and Kevin Tobe each added nine.
“After the back-to-back losses to Clarkston and [Rochester] Adams, we knew we had to straighten things up.” Liddell said. “We had some great practices over the break, and it gave our team time to heal and rest up.”
