The Lake Orion boys’ varsity basketball team got back on track and improved to 4-1 in the OAA White with a league win at home against the Stoney Creek Cougars 52-41 last week.

Senior captain Alden Ritt led the Dragons with 21 points, 10 rebounds, and four blocks.

Junior DJ Morrow had a big offensive night, too, with 15 points.

Rounding out the scoring for Lake Orion were: CJ Witt, six points and five rebounds; Blake Liddell, four points and six rebounds; and senior captain Trevor Witt, Kevin Tobe, and Gabe Scott with two points each.

The boys won their second straight game on Monday with a 66-45 victory at home vs. Holly High School.

It was fitting that the trio of seniors led the scoring on Senior Night, including Ritt with 18 points; Grandberry with 12 points; and CJ Witt with 11 points.

The Dragons, whose record improves to 12-5 overall (4-1 OAA White), travel to Troy High School this Friday for another league matchup against the Troy Colts. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m..
