Lake Orion High School’s boys basketball team had a strong showing last week with back to back wins during district play at Clarkston High School.
On March 9, the boys took on Romeo High School defeating the Bulldogs 63-44.
March 11, the boys took on Waterford Kettering in the district semifinals. It was a close match that led to a double overtime and ultimately ended in a Dragon victory 77-69 and a ticket to the district finals against the Clarkston Wolves scheduled for March 13.
In the days after the victory the MHSAA announced they would be suspending all post-season tournaments as positive COVID-19 cases increased, thus ending the boy’s district run. — M.K.
