Lake Orion High School’s varsity boys basketball season kicked off their season with two back to back victories over the Oxford Wildcats and the Rochester Falcons.
The Dragons hosted the Wildcats on Nov. 28, delivering a crushing performance and securing the first win of the season 51-27.
Lake Orion got off to a hot start going on a 33-5 run in the first half and cruising through the second half.
Leading the way for the Dragons were senior Ethan Sharkey with 17 points, junior Zack Parks with 8 points and 12 rebounds and senior Quay Fly also added with 8 points.
On Dec. 1, the boys hit the road, traveling the Rochester High School, earning their second victory of the year versus the tough, hard working Rochester team winning the game 56-37.
Leading scorers for the Dragons were Parks with 21 points and 9 rebounds and Ryan Rocheleau with 13 points and 7 rebounds.
The Dragons head to Clarkston High School on Friday to take on the Wolves. — M.K.
