Clarkston welcomes new Chase bank

A small crowd of business and government leaders gathered Wednesday to welcome Chase bank’s new branch on Sashabaw Road.
“It’s a real positive addition to Sashabaw Road,” said David Wagner, Independence Township supervisor at the Dec. 5 ribbon cutting ceremony.
“We’re delighted to see such a beautiful facility in our community,” said Penny Shanks, executive director for the Clarkston Area Chamber of Commerce.
The new 4,300-square-foot Pine Knob branch, 5541 Sashabaw, offers more space and better facilities to serve customers, said Branch Manager Nave Grewal.
It replaces the 5601 Sashabaw Road location, which is closed.
‘We’re proud to grow with the community that we have served from our current location since 1973,? said Anthony Glover, who manages Chase’s 286-branch network in Michigan. ‘We designed our new, client friendly environment to be more open. It includes a large customer comfort zone where clients can relax before an appointment with their banker.?
The bank features five client-meeting rooms, large conference room, two drive-up lanes, drive-up ATM, 24-hour walkup ATM inside the branch vestibule, separate counter and lobby areas, and drive-up lane for business customers.
The branch’s lobby and drive-up lanes open at 9 a.m. six days a week, and stay open until 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 6:30 p.m. Friday, and 2 p.m. Saturday. For more information, call 248-625-2380.
