Cagers start season on good note

Although the Oxford Varsity boys basketball team lost to Lapeer West 35-49 Monday night, the Wildcats? season has been anything but disappointing so far.
Senior captain Zach Tilley was the leading scorer with 13 points, followed by senior captain Chris Keenist with 8 and senior Ryan Markowitz with 6.
Last Friday, Keenist led the way for the 66-57 defeat of Clio with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Markowitz was the second leading scorer with 15 and Tilley had 14.
At their season opener against Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook last Monday, Oxford came out on top 57-42.
Tilley had 20 points, including six 3-pointers, Keenist had 15 rebounds and senior captain Rick Brady had 14 points.
The Wildcats are now 2-1 overall and 1-1 in the Flint Metro League. Their next game is Friday at home against Swartz Creek at 7:30 p.m.
