Cagers split wins with Kimball, Clarkston

The Lake Orion girls varsity basketball team recovered from their first season loss to Stoney Creek the week prior by defeating Royal Oak Kimball on Oct. 11.
The Dragons won, 69-37, with Trisha Dalrymple and Chelsea Richards leading the team with 11 points each.
Brittany Daenzer and Cortney Kimmel each put in nine points for Lake Orion, while Cara Booker, Margaret Verespie and Rachel LaRocca each had six.
Also scoring for the team were Rachel Traurig with five, and Alicia Hartley with four points.
On Oct. 13, the Dragons suffered another season loss, this time to Clarkston, 53-31 in an OAA-crossover game.
Lake Orion was led by Kimmel, who had seven points. Richards and LaRocca each had six.
Dalrymple came up with five points for the team, and Daenzer had four.
The Dragons are 10-2, and were on the road against North Farmington on Oct. 18.
Lake Orion travels to Berkley on Oct. 20, and return to LOHS Fieldhouse on Oct. 25, to play against Birmingham Groves.
