ORION TWP. — The Lake Orion High School boys swim and dive team defeated Bloomfield High School 136-47 last week in their final meet before the holiday break.
With a number of first place finishes, the Dragons had a dominating performance over the Black Hawks.
In the 200 meter medley relay, Lake Orion took both first and second places, with the first relay team consisting of Aiden Perz, Wyatt Pawlaczyk, Andrew Galben and Caeden Stauss finished with a time of 1:45.95, followed by the team consisting of Will Traub, Gavin Accardo, Colin Steffens and Jack Jones finished with a time of 1:51.83.
Evan Fox took first in the 200 meter and 500 meter freestyle with times of 1:48.90 and 4:56.72, respectively. Henry Fokken took second in the 500 meter freestyle with a time of 5:29.01.
Pawlaczyk took first in the 200 meter individual medley with a time of 2:13.02 and Sebastian Selem Carmona finished the 50 meter freestyle in first place with a time of 23.92.
In the 100 meter butterfly, Galben took first place (56.30), Steffens took second (1:00.03) and Anderson Fokken finished third (1:01.05).
The Dragon relay team of Anderson Fokken, Steffens, Jones and Henry Fokken finished first in the four-by-200 meter freestyle relay with a time of 1:40.51.
The team consisting of Carmona, Kaden Czar, Fox and Galbem finished first in the 400 meter freestyle relay with a time of 3:29,95,
Galben and Perez finished first (57.38) and second (59.59) in the 100 meter backstroke, respectively.
In the 100 meter breaststroke, Pawlaczyk finished first with a time of 1:06.63, Accardo finished second with a time of 1:08.71 and Adam Thelen finished third with a time of 1:11.29.
The Dragons are back in action after the holiday break on Jan. 5 at Lake Orion High School against the West Bloomfield Lakers.
