Big trucks, big fun at Big Rig Gig

Honking horns, flashing lights and excited kids — all common sights at this year’s fourth annual Big Rig Gig, hosted by Orion Township Parks and Recreation last Friday.
According to Recreation Program Supervisor Jennifer Vezina, the event was a “great success with over 600 families in attendance” at Friendship Park.
Vezina said Parks and Recreation would like to thank Buckhorn Towing, Star EMS, Lake Orion Community Schools, Orion Marine Center, UPS, Michigan State Police, Orion Township Fire Department, Adler’s Towing Service, Oakland County Sheriff Department, Skalnek Ford, Wally Edgar, Dick Hassberger & Associates, Custom Welding & Excavation, Hi Hill Lawn Service, Van Horn Concrete, The Pepsi Bottling Company, Waste Management Eagle Valley, Orion Township Parks and Recreation and Buildings and Grounds for their participation and support in the event.
