Police cars, motorcycles and bulldozers, oh my! The Orion Township Parks & Recreation Dept. is holding its annual Big Rig Gig at Friendship Park from 5 – 9 p.m. on Aug. 2.
The Big Rig Gig features all kinds of vehicles, from construction vehicles to emergency vehicles and then some.
More than 30 businesses are bringing out their vehicles for the kids, who will have the chance to climb in/on the big rigs, honk the horn and meet some of the police officers, firefighters and paramedics who opperate the vehicles.
The event usually sees about 600 families and this year, admission is free, said Orion Twp. Parks & Recreation Programmer Jennifer Vezina.
Also new this year, Miss Mixology will be on site creating non-alcoholic mock-cocktails for parents and kids to enjoy, Vezina said.
Go early or stay late, there’s sure to be plenty for the kids to enjoy.
