A little off the top

Laura Meyhew, 7, of Oxford, was inspired when she watched the news.
The story was about a 10-year-old Californian girl that has breast cancer and had to cut her hair for chemotherapy treatments.
Meyhew decided she would donate her hair for her.
The seven-year-old went to Lulu’s Salon on Washington St. and had Emily, one of the hairstylists, cut 12 inches of her hair on June 10.
‘My wife, Jen and I are very proud of Laura, as well as the rest of the family,? said dad, Dave.
Laura has only had her hair trimmed in the past, so when she arrived for the last day of school at Daniel Axford Elementary School with her new hairdo everyone immediately took notice.
She answered a lot of questions from her classmates and praise from the school staff.
