Meaghan Irene Canfield was born July 9th, 1973 in Pontiac, Michigan. She was adopted by Donald and Janet Canfield as a newborn and began her wonderful life in Lake Orion, Michigan.
She attended school and graduated from Lake Orion High School. Meaghan graduated from Baker College. She worked for many years for Oakland University and for Straight Line.
Meaghan was a devoted friend to many, a coffee lover, a great listener, and loved to help others. Meaghan had a passionate love for dogs! In her spare time, she enjoyed reading.
Meaghan had spent the last 10-plus years as an amazing, loving caregiver for her parents. After her mother passed, she continued to care for her father and took her last few breaths sitting by her father’s side, helping him in the middle of the night on November 15th, 2023.
Meaghan will be greatly missed by so many and in her father’s words “She can never be replaced in our hearts!”
Meaghan is survived by her father Donald Canfield, her sister Mineka (Walter) Thompson. Aunt to Samantha (Ryan) Petrick, Ashley (Steve) Murphy, Jessica Aldrich, Andrew (Allison) Hartfelder, Janssen Thompson, and Nathan Thompson. Great Aunt to Remy, Rocco, Ari, Ellie, and Carter.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Janet Canfield.
Cremation will be forthcoming.
