Julie Rae (England) Rancont of Grand Blanc, formerly Lake Orion, passed away on Friday, Oct. 21, 2022 with her mother by her side.
She is survived by her children, Heather (Vinnie) Fabi, Molly (Marcus) Cooper and Piper (Jack McCarthy) Rancont; her grandchildren, Kyle Cooper and Olivia Fabi; mother, Nancy England; sister, Anna (Scott) Drake; niece and nephews, Bella, Cooper and Sawyer Webster.
Julie was preceded in death by her father, Loren “Bink” England; grandma, Marjorie Hodges; and her beloved dog, Raul.
Julie grew up in Lake Orion and always loved this town, participating in the LOHS Marching band where she found her “people.” Julie received her degree from OCC as an EMT/Paramedic, and would earn her BSN in Nursing from Baker College in 2019. She was always a lifelong student, learning all she could.
Julie worked hard at everything she did. She became a master gardener and taught knitting classes at a small knitting shop in Grand Blanc. She spun wool, was a master at pottery, raised monarch butterflies and loved to bird watch. She loved to travel, read books of all kinds, and collected crystals.
She was extremely proud of her children and niece and nephews, and would make a point to attend every band concert or competition, art show, cross country race or track meet that she could.
Julie was loved by many and will be missed beyond belief. We are thankful that she is now at peace. Rest easy and fly high, Jewel.
