Sharon L. Thompson (aka Sherry Kennedy) of Lake Orion passed away Sept. 24, 2022. She was 68.

Sherry is the loving daughter of the late John S. (Joanne) Kennedy Jr. and the late Helen Harris-Kennedy. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kristin M. Thompson.

Sherry leaves behind her beloved family; Larry D. Thompson, adored children Jason (Heather) VerLee and Katherine A. Rayment and her exceptional grandchildren, Addison Rayment, Michael Rayment, and Matthew VerLee.

She is also survived by her cherished siblings, James (Rita) Kennedy, Nancy (John) Kennedy-Carrieri, Carolynn (Mark) Kennedy-Grobbel, Lawrence (Sara) Kennedy, and Linda (Mark) DeVries.

Sherry wanted to express her love to each of her aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was deeply proud and devoted to her family and friends, and considered it a gift to have each of you in her life.

Her favorite bible verses were John 3:16-17.

Interment is at Eastlawn Cemetery, Lake Orion.
