Lane Lucille Taylor of Oakland passed away on July 9, 2022. She as 75.
Lane is the beloved wife of the late Allen Lee Taylor “Buck”; dear mother of Ken (Jayne) Taylor, Dawn Taylor and Scott (Jennifer) Taylor; loving grandmother of Noah, Caleb, Luke, Natalee, Laynee, Evelyn and Taylor; loving sister-in-law of Joan (Jim) Greenhill; honorary daughter Mary Montgomery; loving aunt of great nephew Ian (Linda) Lake II and of many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Lloyd and Blanche Morris and her mother-in-law Christine (Lee) Taylor.
Lane was devoted to her children and her family. She had a strong faith in God and her church family was very important to her. She was an accomplished singer who sang and played the organ in her church choir for more than 60 years.
She loved to travel, especially to the beach where she enjoyed spending time seashell hunting. Lane also loved knitting and was known for her custom colored slippers which will be cherished by all of her family members.
She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, July 18, 2022 at 11 a.m. at the Maranatha Baptist Church in Clarkston. The family will receive friends for a visitation on Sunday, July 17, 2022 from noon to 6 p.m. at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Lake Orion.
Memorial donations may be made to the Lake Orion Community Schools Lamp of Learning Program.
