A 35-year-old Lake Orion man remains in William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak after his 1998 Ford Ranger pick-up truck struck a tree on Scripps Road on Dec. 7.
According to Oakland County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Thomas Poulin of the Crash Reconstruction Unit, the man, Sean Patrick Theunick was driving westbound on Scripps about 7:20 p.m. when the accident occurred.
“He was driving westbound and for reasons unknown he lost control,” Poulin said. “He went off the north side of the road and hit a tree. He was only about two doors down from where he lives.”
Poulin said Theunick was wearing his seat belt at the time of the accident. He was transported by helicopter to Beaumont Hospital.
