The annual Coffee with a Vet event took place last Saturday at the Veterans Memorial located on M-24.
Lake Orion Veterans spent their day together chatting about old times while enjoying coffee and donuts, burgers and hot dogs.
Dozens of Veterans and non-Veterans braved the heat to hear from veteran speakers and visit.
The ground was covered in change from those who had come to visit the Veterans memorialized there.
“A penny means that you came and visited a Veteran. A nickel means that you trained in boot camp with them, a dime means you served with them and a quarter means you were with them when they died,” explained Veteran Chuck Haskin.
