Strength is more than what is found when using our physical muscles. Strength utilized through mind power has an effect on all the cells in our body.
Myrtle Fillmore, co-founder of Unity, tapped into this power and healed herself of tuberculosis by repeating over and over, “I am a child of God, therefore I do not inherit illness.” Through Myrtle’s example, we can use our mind power to learn to be the best person we can be.
Our bodies are our temples, which are the dwelling place for our spirit and soul in this lifetime. It is our duty to take care of our temples, nurture them, feed them, bless them and love them. It does not matter where we are from, our skin color, male, female, old, young, rich or poor — the expectations for the care of our individual temples are the same.
Improving ourselves daily is a must for improving our lives and it shows how worthy and grateful we are to be children of God. In return you will find a sense of peace that is so great it feels as if you are connected to everything in God’s universe!
Once you have found that peace you wish everyone could be in that same wonderful space in their life. A space of no sorrows, no emotional pain and living a life filled with abundant blessings.
In today’s world it is easy to read or hear stories which show many of God’s children are living a life they would not choose to experience again. Truth is, no matter how good our life is you can always look around and see where change is needed.
An example is a Facebook group for addiction recovery. The groups’ vision is to reach people ready to find support and walk away from drug use. When reading the posts you see stories asking for emotional support from those who have been there. Some posts request prayers and others post their clean date.
I am able to hear, in all their stories, that each person’s heart is filled with God’s life. Sometimes they sound weak or weary from years of abuse. Others, you can hear, are fearful, hopeless or lost. I do not become sad from these stories, but remind myself that by reaching out to others they are finding strength in themselves again. I have commented on many with positive and uplifting thoughts. Sharing God’s goodness supports them. Hearing the truth that God has never left them can revitalize and strengthen their mind.
Gods’ energy is always within everyone. Even at our lowest point, where we question if there really is a God, I affirm; Yes!
When people hear that God loves them no matter what, it becomes validation to the life they live. It confirms they have a right to take up space in this world and they find even more strength in their recovery effort.
When they are clean and supporting another who is not, I know the supporter is the living breathing word of God in action. When someone posts that they are entering a rehab we congratulate them and hold them in prayer for a successful outcome.
Addictions are just one example and I understand that right now you have something important happening in your life that gives you concern.
I validate today for you and with you that God’s positive and uplifting truths of life are active within you and working to successfully resolve all your concerns. I assure you of this truth even if it doesn’t feel like it. Know God is there within you!
Remind yourself that like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, the truth has been inside you all along.
When you decide to combine your reality with positive possibilities you will have a winning force. Use your own mind power to visualize your perfect outcome. Call upon the natural strength inside you to do that which is yours to do.
It is God’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom, your job to acknowledge and access it constantly, not only when you have trials and tribulations.
If you have ignored your spiritual truths or abused your mind power, reclaim it – it’s still there for you! Express it! It may be difficult but it’s our responsibility to do the work to see the benefits. When you decide to improve yourself, you ignite and awaken the I Am presence of God living and working in and through you. I see and hear success stories all the time! Take your life back from what is happening in today’s world by using your mind power to make it so. Find strength in knowing that you have a right to take up space in this world.
You are worthy of a good life call upon your mind power and make it so!
