Season ends at regionals

The trip to MHSAA Regionals was unsuccessful for the Wolves and they closed their season last Thursday.
Clarkston Boys Varsity Tennis team scored three points and finished in seventh place.
West Bloomfield and Rochester Adams took the top two places and Stoney Creek scored 21 points, enough to go on to the MHSAA State Finals.
The Wolves finished 8-5-2 overall with their last win against Berkley on Oct. 3, 7-2.
During the match, senior Andy Heuerman defeated Noah Kretchmer in Singles #1, 6-2, 6-0.
Senior J.P. Budzinski beat Simone Merendi in two of three matches to win 6-2, 2-6, 6-2, in Singles #2. Freshman Brendan Greenlee beat Sam Subia, 6-1, 6-1 in Singles #4. Senior Jordan Kincaid lost to Ian Kobernick, 6-3, 6-3, in Singles #3.
Four of the doubles teams won their matches – sophomore Matt Dahl and senior Troy Hughes for Doubles #1, seniors Patrick Bemis and Eric Kurowski for Doubles #2, seniors Zach Finn and Alex Richards for Doubles #3 and sophomore Dan Agnew and junior Scott Schultz for Doubles #5. Doubles #4 with sophomores Joey and Johnny Whall finished with a loss.
The Wolves finished in the OAA White in fourth place. They had an 3-3 record in the league and tied for third place during the league tournament.
Budzinski aided the team winning first place at the league tournament along with Doubles #3 team of Finn and Richards. Greenlee finished in second place.
The Wolves lose 11 seniors from the boys tennis program.
