Stouts bring justice to Clarkston

Brad Stout knew since he was a little boy he wanted to be a professional baseball player or an attorney.
He figured out early baseball wasn’t going to work out and was happy to follow in his father’s footsteps and practice law.
Stout studied Pre Law at Michigan State University and went to Law School at Wayne State University, where he received his Juris Doctor Degree in 1987 and got his license to practice law the same year.
After working in Bloomfield Hills for 22 years as a general practice attorney, he decided it was time to move the business into Clarkston where he opened Brad Stout Law, off of Citation Drive.
“My wife, Heidi, and I lived here since Spring 2002,” he said. “Clarkston is a great place to raise a family. We are looking forward to being part of the business community.”
He wanted to be closer to home and his clients have also moved into the area.
“The drive is five minutes opposed to 35, which is very nice,” Brad said. “I have the advantage to go home for lunch and come in during the weekends easily.”
His primary areas of practice are family law, business litigation, criminal defense, personal injury and probate estate litigation and administration.
“I do anything someone might have to go to court for,” he said. “I do a lot of family law and criminal defense work like misdemeanors and felonies in the Clarkston’s district court.”
Heidi works as his legal assistant and has her business in the same office, Heidi Stout and Associates.
She is a licensed court reporter and handles depositions for attorneys.
