Clarkston dominated the mats at Monday’s meet and brought home the district championship.
The boys took on hosts Lake Orion for their first win, 46-18.
They faced Rochester Adams in the final round and didn’t give the Highlanders a chance, winning 68-3.
The round started with Evan King (160) defeating Jordan Gowman, 13-0. Matt Vandermeer (171) followed it by pinning Ryan Hess, 4:24 into the match.
Vandermeer wasn’t the only one to add six points to the score with a pin, Zac Roberson (119), Kyle Broughton (140), Mike Henige (145) and Matt Deitz (152) also won with a pin.
Nick Vandermeer (125) kept Ryan Howcroft from scoring points on him and won his match, 1-0. Jeff Slone (130) defeated Kevin Jock, 7-2, and Ty Foltz (135) won with a major decision over Andrew Sabuda, 17-2.
The boys head to Rochester Adams for the regional competion. They take on North Farmington in the semifinals.
They have a chance to take on the winner from the Waterford Kettering/Hartland battle to capture the championship title.

Eight Wolves move on after Saturday’s individual district match-up.
Matt Deitz (140) and Zac Roberson (112) won titles for Clarkston after defeating Hartland foes in their final round.
Raymond Wilkie (103), Jeff Sloney (125) Ty Foltz (135), Mike Henige (145), Evan King (160) and Matt Vandermeer (171) will join Deitz and Roberson for the regional round this week. Roberson beat Ross Kantola, 5-0, and Deitz won in a major decision over John Julien, 10-1.
Vandermeer lost to Matt Hart from Rochester Adams and Foltz to A.J. Fligger, Lake Orion to take second.
Wilkie took third after pinning Andrew Hahnenberg from Walled Lake Northern. King scored four points on Hartland’s Kyle Regorrah and kept him to one, and Henige beat Kyle Marion from Walled Lake Central, 10-4, for third.
Sloney lost to Lake Orion’s Matt Musary, but slipped into the top four to qualify. The eight move on to regionals this Saturday at Howell. The top four in each weight class qualify for state finals at The Palace of Auburn Hills, March 4-6.
