Girls varsity lacrosse takes two losses; JV sails ahead 5-1 this season

April 22, girls varsity and junior varsity lacrosse teams traveled to North Farmington for their Wednesday night games.
Junior varsity took their fourth straight win against the Raiders, 8-1.
Katie Norton saved seven of eight North Farmington shots on goal.
Jessica Smude scored three times. Natalie Fiorani added two more. Marissa Secontine, Taylor Stablein and Sara Giampa score one goal each.
Carly Brooks had two assists.
Varsity lost a tough game by a score of 6-2.
Lindsay Butterfield was an outstanding netminder against the Raiders. She stopped 13 shots for an amazing 68% save percentage.
Lake Orion goals were scored by Jodie Parker and Sarah Woodruff.
On Monday night, junior varsity girls improved their record to 5-1-1 with an 8-1 home victory over the Grand Blanc Bobcats.
Carly Brooks scored three times. Nicole Blovet, Smude, Secontine, Fiorani and Giampa each score once.
Norton stopped eight Grand Blanc shots on goal.
Varsity girls lost a tough game to the Bobcats by 9-3.
Dragons were lead by goalie, Butterfield, who saved an incredible 23 shots on the net.
Parker scored twice and Ronnie Booth added a goal.
Bobcats defeated the Lady Dragons, 3-5.
Both teams play Clarkston at home Wednesday night. JV begins at 6 p.m. Varsity will follow at 7:30 p.m.
Wednesday is also Parent Appreciation Night for the Lady Dragons.
The teams will travel to Rochester on Friday.
