The Scripps estate is certainly a sight to be seen by architecture and Christmas enthusiasts alike. Every corner of the house is filled with original hand-crafted details that have been lovingly preserved.
And much of the work has been done by volunteers.
‘The love that people have for this place is impossible to describe,? Leslie said.
The mansion boasts some very interesting pieces of history, including the oldest elevator in Michigan in continuous use.
