Find the right gift at the OAC’s Holiday Market

‘Tis the season, which means that it’s time to start shopping and the Orion Art Center has just the place to find an unique gift for that hard-to-shop-for person.
From Dec. 1-22, the OAC will hosts its sixth annual Holiday Market, featuring a variety of original items including jewelry, pottery, glass, woodwork, fiber art, photography, prints and paintings and more.
‘We pride ourselves on supporting artists while offering a one-of-a-kind shopping experience to our residents,? said OAC Executive Director Reggie Harrison.
On Dec. 1, in honor of the market’s opening day, the OAC will be open special hours of 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Then, starting Dec. 4, market hours will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday, for shoppers who are looking for a unique gift, as opposed to commercially made items.
To keep children busy while their parents shop, the OAC will also offer children’s art classes each Saturday morning from 10 a.m. to noon. Parents are asked to call and pre-register.
