Oakwood, M-15 lights ready

Groveland Twp.- The traffic signal at the intersection of M-15 and Oakwood Road should be operational by Aug. 21, say officials from the Michigan Department of Transportation.
The $60,000 project, installed by Mt. Pleasant-based J. Ranck Company and funded by federal transportation money, will be maintained by the Road Commission for Oakland County, who will share the expenses with MDOT.
Craig Bryson, RCOC spokesperson, says the signal controller needed to be programmed to complete the installation and ‘loops? have been placed on Oakwood Road. The signal will ‘dwell? in green for M-15 until there is a vehicle call on the Oakwood approach. When that happens, the light will turn green for Oakwood Road. The signal was also timed to allow greens for traffic at both the Oakwood and the Mill Street signals.
