Orion Oaks Elementary School hosted their annual Fine Arts Night on April 6, in conjunction with their 10th year anniversary, opening the school up to parents and students.
Among the arts represented were tatting, painting, wildlife art, photography, wood sculpture, pottery, puppeteering, dance and music, and many others.
The evening also included the Mobile Alley, displaying fifth-grade mobiles inspired by Alexander Calder, inventor of the mobile; 3-D art, robot and hanging sculptures.
The Orion Oaks Student Art Show featured each child’s favorite piece of artwork from their student portfolio.
The event also featured 2006 poster contest winners: Madeline Sullivan for Nature Puppet’s Theatre, Brielle Thompson for Ballet Dance, Erik Gritzinger for The Hands of Music, and Melissa Darin for Art is Life on Paper.
