A one-vehicle crash in Oakland Township left a 26-year-old Oakland Township man in critical condition.
The crash took place on the morning of March 2 on Stoney Creek Road, just east of Harmon Road.
Due to the severity of the crash and the seriousness of the injury involved, the Oakland County Crash Reconstruction Unit was called in to investigate.
The 26-year-old man was driving a 1999 Chevrolet pickup. The vehicle caught on fire after the crash, making it much harder for investigators to get the needed details.
It is unknown if the airbags deployed or if the driver was wearing a seatbelt.
The driver was transported to Royal Oak Beaumont Hospital and later moved to Detroit Receiving Hospital.
The crash remains under investigation and it is unknown if alcohol is a factor.
