Brandon’s varsity boys cross country team had two competitors place in the top 25 at the Chesaning Invitational Sept. 15.
As a team, the Blackhawks finished eighth out of 11 schools, compiling 180 points. Clarkston won the meet with 48 points, while Ann Arbor Huron took second (105) and Linden third (108).
Steve Sanday placed 21st for the Martians with a time of 17:50, while Trevor DeWitt finished 23rd (17:55).
Other runners scoring for the Blackhawks were: Adam George (44th, 18:46), Nicola Grupido (45th, 18:53) and Blake McLellan (48th, 19:06).
The Blackhawks return to action Sept. 28 for a league matchup against Oxford, then host the Brandon Invitational Sept. 30.
