Atlas Twp. – Three Goodrich residents have confessed following a pair of Atlas Township home break-ins.
Because of an anonymous tip followed up on by the Genesee County Sheriff Atlas Township precinct, Detective Sgt. Mike Tocarchick obtained confessions from the three regarding two break-ins to an unoccupied Ridge Road home.
Several guns and jewelry were stolen in the break-ins, which were reported April 29. Some jewelry has been recovered, says Tocarchick.
The suspects have been arrested and charges are being filed.
The Genesee County Prosecutor’s Office is charging a 20-year-old Goodrich man with home invasion first degree, carrying a maximum 20-year sentence; home invasion second degree, carrying a maximum 15-year sentence; and possession of a stolen firearm, carrying a 10-year sentence.
An 18-year-old Goodrich man and 18-year-old Goodrich woman are being charged with home invasion second degree.
‘It was good to get an anonymous tip,? Tocarchick said. ‘That’s how we came up with the suspects.?
