Village OK with Sagebrush license

The Lake Orion Village Council has voted to recommend that the Michigan Liquor Control Commission approve an application from the Sagebrush Cantina to transfer a liquor license.
Sagebrush owner Dia Zaraga has asked to transfer his Class C liquor license, currently in escrow, back to the new Sagebrush building, located at the same address as the old one.
Lake Orion Police Chief Jerry Narsh recommended approving the transfer, but reports from the fire marshal and building official were not available, as the interior of the new building is not yet complete.
Zaraga told the council that the Sagebrush’s grand reopening, which he had hoped to hold in late June/early July, is being pushed back due to some delays in the construction.
‘We are a little behind,? he said, adding that he didn’t yet have a date for the opening, but would know more in the coming weeks.
