The Lake Orion High School boys and girls cross country teams hosted a tri-meet with Rochester Adams and Bloomfield Hills Lahser on Sept. 21, with the Dragon girls defeating Lahser, and the boys team besting Adams.
For the Lake Orion girls, the team finished 20-44 over Adams, and lost to Lahser, 21-34.
The boys team defeated Adams, 22-36, while losing to Lahser, 20-37.
Rachel Patterson of Rochester Adams finished first in the girls race, with a time of 20:31. Katie Reilly of Lake Orion was third (21:07).
In the top 10 finishers for the girls, Kaitlyn Wightman finished sixth for the Dragons with a time of 21:37, and Kat Kline was ninth for the team with a time of 22:35.
Sara Leiblein finished in 10th place for Lake Orion with a time of 23:27.
Mike Quick of Lahser finished first in the boys race with a time of 17:12. Rob Shinoskis of Lake Orion had the best finish for the Dragons, in fifth place with a time of 17:48.
Other Dragons finishing in the top 10 were Colin Motley in sixth place with a time of 17:50, and Drew Collette in eighth place with a time of 18:00.
In the boys race, Lahser defeated Adams, 18-43, and for the girls, Adams went over Lahser, 19-43.
The Lake Orion teams ran in the Ambrose Invitational on Sept. 25, and traveled to Clarkston on Sept. 28.
The Dragons host a tri-meet on Oct. 5, beginning at 4:30 p.m. behind Lake Orion High School.
