Three suspects have been charged with armed robbery in an Aug. 21 home invasion in Independence Township.
The suspects, Lavar Crachiola, 19; Danielle Serna, 23; and Dawyght Moore, 22, all of Pontiac, were charged with one count each of breaking and entering, and three counts each of armed robbery.
Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies were called to Thorpe and W. Huron streets in Pontiac by an Independence Township man who said he and his brother were robbed at gunpoint at their residence in the 4600 block of Pelton, 1:35 a.m., Aug. 21.
The victim said four people kicked the door in and robbed them of their cellphones, iPad, and wallets. They tracked one of the phones to Pontiac and were in front of the residence when they call police.
Two suspects were taken into custody at the scene. One of the suspects had the victim’s wallet. The suspects were interviewed and revealed the identity of the third subject.
The victims, a 40-year-old Independence Township man, 22-year-old Independence Township man, 21-year-old Independence Township woman, and 22-year-old Waterford Township woman, were found to run a marijuana grow operation at the house in Independence Township. Detectives from the Narcotics Enforcement Team went to the Independence Township address and determined the grow operation was in compliance with the Medical Marijuana Act. They requested evidence technicians process both scenes and the investigation is still ongoing.
Crachiola and Serna are held on $50,000 cash or surety bond. Moore has a $100,000 cash or surety bond.
