Youngsters excel at Brandon’s Pitch, Hit, and Run competition

A total of 29 participants competed in the Pitch, Hit and Run Competition hosted by Brandon Township Recreation May 7 at Sherman Memorial Village Park.
These participants won first place honors in their respective age groups. They are:
‘Age 7-8 overall: C.J. Drogosch, Bloomfield Hills, 525; Pitch champion: Drogosch, 225; Hit champon, Drogosch, 190; Run champion, Drogosch, 110.
‘Age 9-10 overall: Bryson Dean, Oxford, 715; Pitch champion: Dean, 375; Hit champion: Joseph Craddock, Ortonville, 268; Run champion: Dean, 172.
‘Age 11-12 overall: Nick Kwasiborski, Ortonville, 992; Pitch champion: Kwasiborski, 300; Hit champion: Kwasiborski, 432; Run champion: Kwasiborski, 260.
‘Age 13-14 overall: Nick Mackie, Ortonville, 807; Pitch champion: Ethan Schram, Ortonville, 300; Hit champion: Mackie, 388; Run champion: Mackie, Ortonville, 369.
The winners will now compete in the Sectional competion June 4 in Ortonvile. Sectional All-Around champions become eligible to qualify for the Team Championship, to be held at Brandon Middle School.
