Brandon Twp. – It’s a tradition that’s fun for everyone.
For the employees of Wojo’s Greenhouse, 2570 Oakwood Road the annual Halloween Display Contest invites friendly competition of creative ideas.
‘This is a fun contest,? said Lisa Kemmedy, landscape designer of perennials associate. ‘The contest gives us a fun chance to be creative in our work.?
For Wojo’s customers the fun lies in taking a walk through the greenhouses seeking out visions of the creative ghoulish eye-candy displays.
A pesky of the ‘Bug a Boo’s? stack offer viewers an up-close and personal look at litterbugs, bug eradicators, pest cemetery, and beetles in concert while the ‘Fortunes Told? display lures visitors to a mystical look at a masked clairvoyant, and crystal garden balls.
‘HayBob RoundPants,’is quickly becoming a popular creation of nursery manager, Dave Martin.
Martin says kids often stop and talk to the lighthearted display, which stands nearly 12 feet high outside the east greenhouse.
From now until Halloween day, customers will have a chance to vote on their favorite display for a chance to win a $100 gift certificate to Wojo’s.
Kids who vote on the winning display will have a chance to win a $50 gift certificate to Toys R Us.
Kemmedy says no purchase is necessary to participate in the ghoulish fun.
