Oxford defeated Clio 3-1 Monday night at their first away game of the season.
The Wildcats came out strong in the first half with Sophomore Brianna Pastewski scoring a goal with help from a great pass by Senior Ashley Marshall.
Senior captain and goal keeper, Kelly Henry, only had one save to make against Clio during the first half.
Although Clio was able to tally a goal after the second half, Oxford fought back with a goal winning free-kick by sophomore Brittany Moncreiff.
With 10 minutes left in the game, Senior Captain Sam Bono took a great pass from Pastewski, weaved around four Clio players and scored her sixth goal of the season.
Oxford’s overall record is now 2-2, and 1-1 in the Flint Metro League. They take on Lapeer West at home April 23
