Wildcats strike out against Lake Orion in doubleheader

The Oxford Wildcats struck out against Lake Orion in a doubleheader the ended 7-2 and 14-4.
In game one, Oxford scored one run in the second inning and the second in the third. Losing pitcher Ryan Stull had seven hits over six innings with four of them in the first inning. He then held a shut out for five innings.
At the bat, Stull had two hits and teammate Bryan Mattack came through with a triple.
The Wildcats suffered in the second game. Joel Grifka was the highlight player with one hit and three RBIs.
‘We were up four to nothing and then we just fell apart,? said head coach Kurt Nuss. ‘We made too many mental mistakes.?
Nuss continued to explain that the team was making some errors and having difficulties making basic plays.
The Wildcats face off against Brandon tomorrow (Thursday). This is an important league competition as Oxford prepares to play against Lapeer West, who is slated to win the league, on May 5.
