The Oxford varsity girls soccer team now stands 0-1 in the Flint Metro League after a 3-2 loss to Holly last Wednesday night.
The Bronchos dominated the Wildcats 3-0 five minutes into the second half, but junior mid-fielder Alex Johnson was able to score a much-needed corner kick, to let Holly know they weren’t about to give up the game.
Oxford’s senior captain, Sam Bono, scored in the last five minutes of the game to tie it 3-3, but the goal was thrown out due to Bono being off-sides.
With one minute left in the game sophomore forward Brittany Moncrieff was able to take a free kick to the goal, but the ball hit off the far post and back into play.
The Wildcats? overall record is now 1-2.
