The Oxford High School varsity soccer team dominated their home-opener against Ferndale, beating the visiting Eagles 6-1.
The Wildcats presented a balanced attack, sharing the scoring among six different players.
Juniors Travis Simat, Chase Garavaglia and Jake Champion handled the scoring for the first half.
Second half scoring came from sophomores Tommy Downs and Francisco Rivera Reyes, while senior captain Paul Tomaka booted in the final goal of the night.
The visiting Eagles struck back early in the second half, but were silent for the remainder of the game.
In total, only three saves were required by senior captain Josh Nelson
The Wildcats travel next to Hazel Park for their second OAA Blue match of the season.
