Village tentatively awards website contract

The Village Council tentatively awarded a contract to OCS Design, at their meeting last week, to provide website services pending final contract approval.
OCS Design, which operates out of Oxford, was recommended by the village’s website committee as the best selection, and was at a significantly lower cost than the other two companies submitting bids.
With a bid of $600 for initial website design, as well as an low-priced option for site maintenance, Councilman Mike Toth said he was very impressed with the price, as well as the good variety he found in OCS-designed sites.
OCS President and Website Designer Michelle Overton has created websites for Oxford Township, Oxford Hills Golf Club, Jon Marx Steaks and Seafood and Villa de Goochi Salon and Spa, among others.
According to Village Manager Paul Zelenak, the goal of the website is to have information easily available for the public, as well as improve efficiency in the village office.
Once up and running, the website will include items such as meeting minutes, agendas, calendar and links to other pages of interest for the community.
