Brandon Twp.- After just a few days? business, new restaurant owners Deb and Larry Goldman are already getting to know some regular customers.
‘Homestyle country cooking for breakfast and lunch brings them back,? said Deb, who with Larry opened Deb’s Grill & Coney, 5500 Oakhill Road, last month.
‘They are already starting to roll in for our omelets, biscuits and gravy’I make it all from scratch.?
Deb brings more than 25 years of cooking experience to the kitchen, specializing in real American fries, hamburgers from fresh ground beef, and Dearborn hot dogs.
‘We realize the economy is pretty bad right now, it can be expensive to take a family out to dinner,? said Deb. ‘We have great prices where families can actually afford to eat out at a real restaurant, not just fast food.?
Since opening, the Goldmans have hired six employees to help. If business continues to grow, more will be needed. They have also remodeled the restaurant to a sports theme, featuring authentic jerseys from the Red Wings, Tigers and Spartans, just to name a few. In addition, a pair of LCD flat screen televisions adorn the walls keeping diners in the know.
