The Oxford varsity boys bowling team defeated Waterford Kettering on Sunday and remain undefeated in the Northern Lakes Conference.
Coach J.R. Lafnear said the entire team contributed to the victory with six of the seven bowlers scoring points.
Junior Tyler Heichel bowled games of 191 and 195 and had strong support from senior captain Kevin Compau’s 195, senior A.J. McLarty’s 233, senior Rendon Wheeler’s 218 and sophomore James Roberts? 217.
The team converted 27 out of 33 single pin spares.
Although the varsity girls lost to the Captains, Lafnear said they are showing great progress.
‘The girls are getting better and continue to work hard,? he said.
Sophomore Ashlee High had high scores of 165 and 170, while freshman Sarah Decker had a 197 and senior captain Amanda Tucker had a 178.
The next game is on Saturday at Collier Lanes vs. the Lake Orion Dragons at 10 a.m.
