Brandon Twp.- Tractor Supply Company will arrive in the township early next year.
Rob Hoskins, a spokesman for TSC, confirmed this week that the farm and ranch retailer with more than 700 stores in 38 states, including 57 stores in Michigan, will open in the former James Lumber building, located at 700 S. Ortonville Road, in early 2008.
Many factors are considered in choosing the location of a new store, Hoskins said, including demographics of a potential trade area, the availability of sites for a store in the market, the cost of available real estate, plans for other TSC stores in the region, the location of distribution centers, and the available labor pool.
‘As a growth-minded company, Tractor Supply Company is always looking for potential new store locations that are a good fit as far as the target market is concerned,? he said. ‘The TSC product category expertise includes lawn and garden and animal care products that will service the needs of Ortonville’s customers.?
TSC stores typically employ 12-15 full- and part-time employees, Hoskins added.
