On March 13 and 14 the Truck Town Thunder Robotics team 68 competed in the First Robotics Kokomo Indiana District Competition.
The team finished 25th of 32 that competed over the weekend long event.
The Team 68 earned two awards at Kokomo including the Entrepreneurship Award sponsored by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, which celebrates the entrepreneurial spirit by recognizing a team that has developed the framework for a comprehensive business plan to scope, manage, and achieve team objectives.
‘This really let’s the team know we are doing exactly what we need to ensure a sustainable program and continue to be viable in our outreach,? said Andrew Spiece, Truck Town Thunder Robotics.
The team also was awarded the Industrial Safety Award sponsored by Underwriters Laboratories which celebrates the team that progresses beyond safety fundamentals by using innovative ways to eliminate or protect against hazards.
The Truck Town Thunder now will compete for one of the 102 spots at the Michigan State Championships.
The second competition is the FRC Centerline Michigan District Competition on March 27 – 28, and the last district competition T3 will participate in is the FRC Lansing Michigan District Competition held on April 3 – 4.
