A 16-year-old Auborn Hills youth smashed his red 1990 Toyota pickup when he lost control of the vehicle and rolled end over end into a ditch this past weekend.
The accident occurred around 4:30 p.m. this past Friday, May 30, on Dunlap Rd. near M-24. According to the police report, the driver had a 16-year-old passenger.
Both occupants complained to police of pain or momentary injury, but neither accepted medical transport.
Deputies determined that the boys were traveling eastbound on Dunlap Rd. when they lost control of the vehicle. Two witnesses saw the accident occur.
The driver was issued a hazardous citation for driving too fast. Drugs and alcohol were not a factor, and both occupants were wearing their seatbelts.
