Grapplers suffered a loss to Temperance-Bedford last Wednesday, 43-20.
‘They are what they have always been,? said Bedford coach Denny Brighton. ‘Clarkston’s a real tough team, very solid, very disciplined, very well-coached. They stayed in there and they battled. We knew it was coming. We look for this.?
Bedford’s momentum started from the first match and continued throughout the meet.

Matt Dietz (125) tied score, 6-6, with a fall 3:35 into his match.
Adam Lauzun (171) earned the next points with a fall 44 seconds into the first period and brought the score to 12-33.
Bryant Craft (189) scored one point more than his opponent and won his match by major decision.
Jeff Sloney (103) won with a technical fall with 17 seconds left in his match, bringing the score to 20-33.
‘Clarkston is a real good team,? said Brighton. ‘I know they were ranked right behind us. So you know they are top cavalier team. It’s kind of sad that they didn’t have their full line up in. I know their good 135-pounder was undefeated and wasn’t in the line up, or their 150-pounder. We had two good kids there that I thought would be really great matches, so we would have liked to see them.?
On Wednesday, the team will travel to Troy-Athens with a double-dual against Rochester Adams and West Bloomfield. The meet will begin at 6 p.m.
Clarkston Wolves will host the Macomb and Oakland County Duals. Teams participating are Detroit Catholic Central, Hazel Park, Holly, Waterford Kettering, Lake Orion, Milford, Oxford, Rochester Adams, and West Bloomfield.
The Dual will begin at 9 a.m.
