Tons of Trucks this weekend

Independence Township Parks and Recreation hosts its ninth annual Tons of Trucks, 10 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 6, at Clintonwood Park, 6000 Clarkston Road.
Children get to see, sit in, and climb on a wide variety of local trucks of all sizes and shapes.
Vehicles include Smith’s Disposal’s recycle truck, Two Men And A Truck, Independence Township Senior Center’s mini-bus, Yesteryear’s Tractor Club, Oakland County Sheriff’s patrol car, Planet Kids? truck bounce house, Independence Township Parks and Rec Toro, dump truck, and John Deere tractor, Independence Township Safety Path’s Bobcat and mini truck, Independence Township Fire Department ladder truck, tanker, and EMS vehicle, The Learning Experience’s firetruck and lifted F350, Oakland County Parks and Rec’s city bus and obstacle course, Clarkston Paper’s delivery truck, and Michigan Monster Trucks? Southern Storm Monster Truck.
Bob the Builder will also be on hand. The first 100 children get a free army helmet.
Choose a ticket time, 10 a.m. or 10:30 a.m.
Tickets are $3/youth by Aug. 5, $5/youth on-site. Free for adults.
