The moose got spooked

The Moose Tree Nature Preserve held its annual Spooktacular Saturday, Oct. 17. Guests were greeted by naturalist Minnie Mouse (Jamie Rustowicz, resident naturalist), then gathered around the fire to meet their guides from Oakland University.
Along the way, guests were entertained by Glenda the Good Witch, Rapping Pumpkins, Swamp Monsters, Cruella DeVille, a wise old owl, dancing skeletons and a trio of witches brewing up some fun. When Dorothy, the scarecrow and the witch assured the guests that they were ‘Out of the Woods,? there was more in store for them inside. In the exhibit room, all of the displays joined in the fun, there was a riddle hunt and Mr. Scott, from the Rainforest Caf?, came with live animals for everyone to meet.
Congratulations to Dominic Meloche for guessing how many skulls were in the jar. His family has won a free pass to ‘The Bats are Back? on Saturday, Nov. 7.
Moose Tree thanks Harvest Time, Kroger on M-24, CVS on M-24, The Rainforest Caf? and Chicago Brothers for their help.
