Balls fly and bats swing on Thursday evenings at Friendship Park when Orion Township Parks and Recreation, in cooperation with Northwest Parks and Recreation, hosts their adaptive softball league.
Lake Orion’s team, the Orion Hawks, plays their home games at 6:30 p.m. on Thursdays on Friendship Park Field #4.
Away games are played in neighboring communities.
The league is for individuals between the ages of 13- to 25 with developmental disabilities, with or without physical impairments.
The team plays its next home games on July 7, against Clarkston, and July 21, against Waterford.
